Don't get frustrated when learning how to cross dress, take it slow

When learning how to cross dress, what was the hardest part to learn for you? Was it applying lipstick or makeup? Getting the walk to look realistic? How about finding a wig? There are so many areas that one can get hung up on, that many get overwhelmed and frustrated.

The best way to avoid this feeling of frustration is by making progress. Sounds simple doesn't it? Well it IS if you start slow! Find one area that you're good at, and practice that until you excel at it. Then, move on to another area and practice that until you excel at it. Lather, rinse, repeat! You probably won't excel at any one area overnight, but you'll feel MUCH better knowing that you are making progress. NEVER let yourself get overwhelmed to the point of frustration. Take a break and regroup if you need to. Just remember that even small steps are progress. Soon you'll look like a million bucks!

Tell us about how you got started in dressing

I'm fascinated with tales of crossdressing, especially about how other people got started. Their first time experiences, thoughts, basically anything that made a strong impression on you. Were you the younger sibling that was forced to dress for your older sister? Did you just naturally gravitate towards dressing? When you started out, did you incorporate makeup into your routine? Are you gay or bi? Soooo many questions, so little time! Feel free to tell us EVERYTHING!

Like a lot of people, I started rummaging through my mother's closet. Nylons, panties and dresses are what I primarily wore. Luckily for me, my mother was small, and i was tall. When she left, and I was sure she wasn't coming back for awhile, I'd rush to her room and carefully choose what I wanted to wear. I'd always mentally note the exact location of all the items in her closet and drawers. That way I could put them back without her noticing. Then, almost shaking with excitement, i'd put them on and model in front of her full length mirror. I was HOOKED!
